New HUD guidelines for accommodation requests

HUD releases new guidelines for accommodation requests for assistance and emotional support animals. What is important to note is that hew new guidelines do not change any housing provider’s current obligations under the ADA or the FHA. Instead, the purpose of the new guidelines is to clarify what legal steps need to be taken by an individual who makes a request and a housing provider who receives a request.
