Colorado Mask Mandate Extended thru Sep. 13
In an amendment to the order Governor Polis originally issued July 17, the order is extended through September 13 of this year. According to this order, face coverings are required to be worn in indoor public places. Please note:
People under the age of 10 or who have disabilities/medical issues that preclude them from wearing masks are exempt from the order.
Those who do not follow the order could be charged with trespassing. Previously, Polis had said he was hesitant to issue a statewide order because he was concerned about enforcement.
Counties and cities do not have the option to opt out. Multiple large retailers have already issued their own mask requirements.
Included in this amendment, individuals performing "life rites" are exempt from the face-covering mandate while a life rite is being performed.
