CCIOA’s New Provisions—Child Care and Religious Expression

At the close of the 2020 legislative session, there were only two changes to CCIOA, both in Section 106.5, which deals generally with provisions of governing documents that would be overridden as being contrary to public policy. Specifically, the section overrides covenant provisions that prohibit certain religious expressions on doorways, as well as the ability of a resident to operate a home child care facility. In this class, we will discuss the changes to CCIOA and discuss best practices for dealing with these emerging community issues.

Classes are designed to be 30 minutes of content with 15-20 minutes of Q&A.
