About this Event
As the economy slowly cycles between boom and bust, housing projects start, are interrupted, and then resume. When emerging from a poor economy, issues of transferring and reinstating development rights become important and sometimes hotly contested. During good economy, annexation is a commonly exercise development right. We will discuss all of these issues from the perspective of the board of an existing community that may be impacted by the exercise of development rights. We will also discuss common sources of conflict with the way that development rights are reserved in a declaration.
