In this class, we will discuss what happens when a master or subassociation files of foreclosure and affects your client, which would be either the master or the subassociation in that same community.
The common questions are:
Why are we named as a defendant instead of a plaintiff?
What do we do if the owner is current on their assessments to us?
So why are we even part of this foreclosure?
What do we need to do?
Can we assess the owner the costs of addressing the foreclosure?
If the owner is somewhat delinquent with us but we are not in active litigation with him or her, do we need to follow our collection policy prior to joining in this foreclosure case in which we are already named?
This class will discuss the answers to these questions and give some practical advice on how to handle this type of situation.
