Holidays, Religious Symbols & CCIOA
As we head into the holidays, it's important to remember that there was a quiet but important change to CCIOA in 2020 that allows owners to display religious items and symbols on their entry door or doorframe of their unit. This is defined as an item or symbol displayed because of a sincerely held religious belief. There are certain minimal restrictions that the association can place on the installation of these items, and the items cannot exceed 36 in.² without association approval. The changes are located in CCIOA’s Section 106.5.
