In this class, we will revisit Colorado House Bill 1137 with respect to collections. Will discuss the new requirements from a legal perspective as well as from a practical or administrative perspective. We will generally discuss requirements that impose increased costs on associations and complying. We will then revisit the influences that gave rise to the bill, discuss the bill from the sponsors' stated points of view, and discuss possibilities for the 2023 legislative session.
