Description: In this class, we will discuss the HO6 insurance policies that owners typically have in condominium and townhome communities. We will go through the policy and discuss the various types of coverage that they routinely contain. We will also discuss common governing document clauses with respect to insurance and the association's ability to apportion deductibles. We will then discuss general legal requirements for raising money on an urgent basis, including special assessments and borrowing money. Lastly, we will discuss clauses in HO-6 coverage that can leave owners under or uninsured for deductibles.
